Remember Verizon's Unleashed prepaid plan that offered unlimited talk, text, and web for $50 per month? Verizon has announced that it's taking that plan national this Thursday, and customers will be able to sign up for it at any Verizon location as well as at Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. The $50 plan will be compatible with four feature phones (no smartphones here) from Samsung, LG, and Pantech, though Verizon says that some older prepaid handsets will also work.
Although I'm sure some folks will lament the fact that they can't use a smartphone with this plan, it's still a great deal, especially considering that Verizon's current unlimited talk, text, and web prepaid offerings would set you back a total of $124.99 per month. There's still the question of exactly which phones we can expect to use with Verizon's new prepaid plan, but all will be revealed later this week when the plan goes live.
