The BlackBerry leaks continue! After being treated to a video of the mysterious Knight 9980 over the weekend, today photos of the Bold 9790 have made their way online. The 9790 features a look that's much more reminiscent of the BlackBerrys we know — and maybe love, depending on which camp you're in — compared to the 9880 and, with its touchscreen/physical QWERTY combo, basically looks like a mashup of the 9780 and 9900. According to a report out of BGR, the 9790 also features a 1.2GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB of built-in storage, NFC support, and the usual Wi-Fi and GPS trappings. No word yet on which carrier(s) may offer the 9790, but the handset is rumored to be launching later this year.
RIM's new Bold 9900 may be the big BlackBerry on campus right now, but this new Bold 9790 could be a good option for folks upgrading from the 9700/9780 or anyone that just wants something a tad smaller than 9900. Obviously there's still a lot we don't know about this device, but if it is indeed coming before year's end, more information should be along soon. Stay tuned.
