Verizon customers finally got their first taste of BlackBerry 7 earlier this month with the launch of the Bold 9930, and now it looks like a second helping of the new OS is right around the bend. According to an image sent to our pals at VZBuzz, the BlackBerry Torch 9850 will be available via direct fulfillment (phone/web orders) beginning September 8th and will hit stores a week later on the 15th. No word yet on pricing.
For those that'd like a quick spec refresher, the Torch 9850 is packing a 3.7-inch 480x800 display, 1.2GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with 720p video capture, 4GB of built-in storage, 768MB RAM, and of course, the BlackBerry 7 OS. Sounds like quite an upgrade from Verizon's older touchscreen BlackBerry offerings, no? Stay tuned for more on the Verizon Torch 9850 as we get it.
