Last week we were treated to a video teasing Samsung's Unpacked event for IFA in Berlin on September 1st. At the time we didn't know much about what Samsung has up its sleeve, but thanks to a string of leaks we may have a pretty good idea of what the Korean firm is going to show. First up is a report from SammyHub, which claims that Samsung will be revealing LTE-enabled versions of the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both devices are said to be a tad different from the versions that we currently know and love: the LTE GSII will reportedly feature a 4.5-inch display, NFC, and a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, while the 8.9 is said to include Android 3.2 out of the box as well as a 1.5GHz dual-core CPU.
Next up, we've got a trio of new products that were revealed by Samsung itself. Or rather, Samsung's official IFA Unpacked Android app. The graphics you see below were discovered inside this very app and reveal the Galaxy Tab 7.7, Wave 3, and Galaxy Note. There's not a lot known about the devices besides what we can glean from the names. That means that the Tab 7.7 will likely be a 7.7-inch tablet and the Wave 3 will probably run Samsung's Bada OS. The Galaxy Note is still very much a mystery.
Sounds like a pretty interesting batch of devices, no? It's kind of disappointing that we don't know much more about them, but hey, the good news is that we're less than a week away from it all being revealed at Samsung's event on September 1st. Of course, PhoneDog will be bringing you all of the news from IFA as it happens, so be sure to keep it locked here for all of your devices-being-revealed-at-a-trade-show-in-Germany needs!
UPDATE: Looks like the LTE-enabled Galaxy S II and Tab 8.9 are pretty much a lock for next week. Samsung's own Young Samsung site has posted a press release announcing that both devices will be shown at the event. The LTE Galaxy S II is packing a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, 1,850mAh battery, and multi-mode LTE for use around the globe.
Meanwhile, the LTE Tab 8.9 is set to feature an 8.9-inch 1280x800 display, 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, 3-megapixel camera, and Android 3.2. Samsung's press release says that the company "announced plans to launch on the 29th," meaning we could see the tablet appear at next week's Galaxy S II event in NYC. Check out shots of both the new GSII and Tab 8.9 below!
