Hot on the heels of the emergence of some new Motorola DROID Bionic renders, another video of the upcoming LTE handset in the wild has made its way online. This latest clip offers a tour around the Bionic's software, including the latest version of Motoblur Motorola's Application Platform, and also contains lots of flipping through home screens and messing with widgets. There's also another LTE speed test that yields some pretty fast speeds. But don't take my word for it! Watch the full four-minute video down below.
That's not the end of the DROID Bionic leaks, though, as the folks at Droid-Life have managed to get their hands on some images showing off the Bionic's battery life. A source of concern for the first round of LTE handsets, particularly the HTC ThunderBolt, the battery life on the Bionic actually seems to be pretty good from what we've seen. The source of this leak used up around 40 percent of a full charge after humming along on plain ol' 3G for nearly 15 hours. The phone then began jumping between 3G and 4G before locking in to an LTE connection after nearly 20 hours of use and 50 percent battery life remaining. Finally, we see that the Bionic ends up with around 15 percent battery remaining after over 25 hours of use, around 10 of which was on an LTE connection. In case you're wondering, the source of the images says that all of this battery testing was done under moderate phone usage. Check out photos of the final battery usage below the video.
And that concludes today's early look at the Motorola DROID Bionic. Despite the fact that we've been waiting nearly eight months for it to finally launch, the Bionic is shaping up to be a pretty impressive little smartphone. Of course, we also know that the HTC Vigor could be coming to Verizon in October and that the Nexus Prime may not be far behind it, so Motorola's offering may not be the king of the Android hill on Verizon for long. Regardless of those other upcoming devices, I'm just going to be happy when the Bionic finally makes it to Verizon's shelves. It's been a long time coming.
