Yesterday we saw new photos of the Verizon-bound HTC Bliss emerge, and along with them came a report claiming that the female-centric device will come packing version 3.5 of HTC's Sense UI. Not much was known about the new iteration of Sense at the time, but today alleged screenshots of the skin have appeared on XDA.cn, the same site responsible for the previous Bliss leak.
The lock screen in Sense 3.5 is said to be similar to the one found in version 3.0, although the lock screen found in 3.5 will reportedly show more notifications relating to weather and things like that. Some Sense widgets are reportedly getting a refresh in 3.5, like the weather widget seen below, and it's also said that there will be some new widgets included with the skin. Also below you can see the new app drawer and phone icons on the home screen as well as the slightly revised notification shade.
In addition to giving up several Sense 3.5 screenshots, XDA.cn is reporting that older HTC phones may be able to run the new version of Sense, despite the fact that HTC denied many devices from getting Sense 3.0 (officially) due to a set of hardware requirements. Whether or not that'll actually happen remains to be seen. However, if HTC does end up not porting Sense 3.5 to older devices — and it wouldn't surprise me if they decided not to — I'm sure that the Android hacking community will find a way to get the new skin onto all kinds of products. What do you all make of these Sense 3.5 screenshots? Do you like what you see?
