By now I'm sure we've all heard that HTC will be holding a little shindig in London on September 1st where it'll be showing us all "what's next." There's been a lot of speculation as to exactly what HTC's got up its sleeve for the event, including devices like the Puccini/Jetstream and Vigor, but a new report from BGR claims that it'll actually be Windows Phone that's in the spotlight. The site's source believes that HTC will be unveiling two new Mango-powered Windows Phone devices on September 1st: the HTC Eternity for AT&T and the HTC Omega for T-Mobile. We're hearing conflicting reports on the screen sizes for both devices — a previous report claimed that the Eternity will have a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display and the Omega will have a 3.8-inch SLCD, BGR's reporting that they'll be 3.7 and 4.5 inches, respectively — but other rumored specs for the two handsets include 1.5GHz processors and 8-megapixel cameras.
As exciting as it would be to see HTC pull some new Android phones out of its hat on September 1st, we'll be glad to see some high-end Windows Phone devices make their debut at the event, especially considering how long it's been since we've seen some truly new WP7 hardware.
