The Samsung Hercules and HTC Ruby look to be two of T-Mobile's most high-end handsets for the remainder of 2011, so it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that folks have been clamoring for release dates for both devices. If you count yourself as part of the group waiting for either the Hercules or Ruby, we may finally have a date for you to circle on your calendar and request off work. According to a document sent to our pals at TmoNews, both Android powerhouses will be arriving on Wendesday, October 26th.
Previously it was rumored that the Hercules would be coming sometime in late September, but you know how it is with leaked release dates: nothing's official until it's official. That's why it'd probably be wise to circle the 26th on your calendar in pencil for now. After all, a lot can happen in two months, you know? If anything pertaining to the launches of the Hercules and Ruby does change, though, you can bet that we'll pass along the details.
UPDATE: Just as a quick note, a new report out of BGR has corroborated most of the HTC Ruby specs that we heard from last weekend, but it does add in the claim that the device will be T-Mobile's first 42Mbps HSPA+ smartphone.
UPDATE 2: And continuing with the Ruby news, a "reliable source" has informed Pocketnow that the HTC-made handset could be known as the Amaze 4G when it launches.
