Itching to get a peek at the upcoming HTC Vigor for Verizon? Today may just be your lucky day, bucko, as an image of what very well could be the Vigor recently popped up on the website of Dutch retailer The Phone House. As you can see above, the Vigor — or at least this purported image of the Vigor — looks a tad like a curvier ThunderBolt, which kind of makes sense since that's the very handset that it's due to replace. Posted alongside this photo was a list of alleged specs that match up with ones we've heard in the past, including a 4.3-inch 1280x720 display, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel camera, Android 2.3.4, Sense 3.5, and Beats by Dre tech.
So is the device in this image really, truly the Vigor? It's certainly possible. The image has since been removed from The Phone House's site, meaning either that it is indeed real and the company yanked the photo before more people found out or that it's just a mockup or some other kind of fake and the company yanked the photo before more people found out. Whatever the case, I'm sure that this won't be the last time we see a Vigor-related leak before the device's rumored October 5th launch date. Stay tuned!
UPDATE: Looks like this is just a fake. According to the a rep from the Dutch site The Phone House, there are a few things in the photo that don't line up with how pages on the actual site look. For example, there's no description of the device's color, something which is always shown on The Phone House's actual site. An image of an actual product page from The Phone House is available below for you to compare. The wait for an actual Vigor photo continues!
