It's definitely been a long, leak-filled ride, but today AT&T and RIM teamed up to announce three new BlackBerry smartphones. The first of the pack is the 4G BlackBerry Torch 9810, which will be hitting AT&T's shelves this month for an unspecified price. Specs for the 9810 include a 3.2-inch 480x640 touchscreen, 1.2GHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video capture, 8GB of built-in storage, 768MB RAM, AT&T HSPA+ connectivity (delivered with enhanced backhaul), and the BlackBerry 7 operating system.
AT&T also said that it plans to launch both the 4G BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the 4G BlackBerry Touch 9860 later this year. Both devices will run on AT&T's HSPA+ network.
So there you have it, BlackBerry fanatics. It's pretty exciting to see this trio of new 'Berrys heading to AT&T, even if we've known about the devices for the better part of 2011. And while we'd definitely like a peek at some of those QNX-powered smartphones that RIM's talked up once before, these new BlackBerry 7 handsets should do the trick for now considering how long it's been since we've seen a new smartphone from the folks in Waterloo hit AT&T. So now that it's nice and official, what do you all think of the Torch 9810?
