When the HTC ChaCha made its debut way back at MWC in mid-February, it was revealed that the Facebook-centric device would eventually be making its way to AT&T here in the U.S. Today we've finally been treated to an image of Ma Bell's version of the ChaCha and, as you can see above, it looks fairly similar to the international model save for a few re-arranged function keys. According to a roadmap leaked by the folks at Pocketnow, the AT&T ChaCha may be launching before Q2 is up. It's worth pointing out, though, that HTC is known to occasionally include a device's expected release date in the screen of its press images, so the date shown on the ChaCha's widget up above (July 17th) could also be the big day.
As a quick refresher, the HTC ChaCha's feature list includes a 2.6-inch 320x480 display, 800MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing shooter, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, a dedicated Facebook button, and Android 2.3. Obviously those specs are going to melt your face off, but with its portrait QWERTY keyboard and easy Facebook access, the ChaCha should be a great fit for the messaging/social networking-obsessed crowd. If AT&T does plan on launching the ChaCha in the next month or so, we should be hearing more about the device in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!
