Yesterday T-Mobile's upcoming myTouch 4G Slide appeared in the FCC's database, but the only image of the device included in the report was of its FCC ID label. However, today we've got some actual photos of the device in the wild, courtesy of the folks at BGR. As you can see in the photos, the myTouch 4G Slide is running Android 2.3.4 as well as Sense 3.0. It's been confirmed that the handset packs an 8-megapixel camera, although the display isn't 3D like had been rumored. The source of the photos said that the MT4GS's screen "isn't anything to write home about," although the phone itself is described as being just as quick as an HTC Sensation and "much faster than the myTouch 4G." Finally, the tipster said that the myTouch 4G Slide's navigation keys are softer than the myTouch 4G's and that the QWERTY keyboard is "squishy" like the one found on the G2.
We're always excited to see a new Android phone that features a physical QWERTY keyboard, and if the myTouch 4G Slide's does indeed feel similar to the G2's — which Aaron described as "awesome" — then we should be in for a treat. BGR has heard that the myTouch 4G Slide could be landing in either the first or second week of July, which jibes with a previous report that the device may be arriving July 6th, so we don't have long to wait to give the keyboard a go for ourselves. Who's excited?
