T-Mobile may have only recently released Samsung's Android-powered Sidekick 4G, but a new leak has revealed that there may be another Sidekick on T-Mo's horizon. The image up above was posted by the folks at Unwired View, who claim that the Sharp-made Android phone could very well be a new Sidekick destined for T-Mobile's shelves. There's no hard evidence that this handset is indeed a Sidekick, but it does have a very Sidekick-like form factor. Rumored specs for the device include a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen, GSM/WCDMA connectivity, WiFi, GPS, and a camera around back.
Although it's entirely possible that this is indeed an upcoming Sidekick device, it'd probably be wise to take this rumor with a grain or two of your favorite salt. After all, Sharp did craft the Sharp FX for AT&T, a phone that, depsite its Sidekick-ish frame, was not a true Sidekick. What do you all think of this device? Will it soon be joining the Sidekick family on T-Mobile?
UPDATE: So much for T-Mobile. The folks at Unwired View are now reporting that this Sidekick-like handset features support for the 850/1900 UMTS bands and could very well be destined for AT&T, just like the Sharp FX.
