The HTC EVO 4G seems like a pretty safe bet to get an upgrade to Android 2.3 Gingerbread, especially after an HTC rep allegedly confirmed that the update will be arriving in Q2, so it's just a question of when that update will begin rolling out. Well, if you mosey on over to the Sprint website and check out the EVO 4G's page, you'll see that the device apparently now "Ships with Android 2.3," suggesting that its Gingerbread update may be right around the corner. Check out one more shot from Sprint's site below.
Obviously we still don't know exactly when the update will begin, but if it is indeed coming sometime during Q2, Sprint and HTC only have a little over a month to get the update ball rolling. Whenever that happens, you can be sure we'll let you know.
UPDATE: As Skymitch89 points out, Sprint has been erasing all mentions of Gingerbread from the EVO's page since the news broke this morning. The page now reads that the EVO 4G ships with Android 2.2, not 2.3.
