Whoopsie. It looks like LG just couldn't wait any longer to tell us about the Genesis, a device that we first saw leak earlier this month, because the company just posted a full gallery and spec list for it before U.S. Cellular could make it official. The device formerly known as the enV Pro packs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.5-inch 480x800 external display, 3.2-inch 480x800 internal display, 5-megapixel camera, 430MB of internal memory, a preinstalled 8GB microSD card, and Android 2.2. Check out a shot of the Genesis's keyboard in all its QWERTY glory below.
From what we've seen of it so far, the Genesis seems like a respectable little Android device, especially for the messaging fanatics among us. According to a U.S. Cellular price sheet posted by Android Central in early May, the Genesis could cost $249.99 on-contract (before mail-in rebate) and $449.99 sans any kind of commitment, which seems a tad steep if true. Unfortunately, there's no word yet on when the Genesis will be launching, but thanks to LG taking it upon itself to out the device, I wouldn't be surprised to hear something official from U.S. Cellular sooner rather than later. Stay tuned.
