May 26th is shaping up to be a big day for Android customers on Verizon, but now it's going to be important for Windows Phone 7 fans, as well. Verizon just announced that the HTC Trophy will be available online beginning May 26th for $149.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. If you'd prefer to go the brick and mortar route for your Trophy purchase, Big Red's first Windows Phone 7 handset will be available in Verizon stores on June 2nd. Customers that buy a Trophy before July 15th will be given a free Xbox 360 game of their choosing. The options include Halo: Reach, Kinect Sports, and Lode Runner.
For those of you that need a quick refresher, the HTC Trophy features a 3.8-inch 480x800 touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video capture, 16GB of built-in storage, global connectivity, and Surround sound with SRS WOW HD. As I said before, the Trophy also earns the honor of being Verizon's first Windows Phone 7 device, coming just over two months after Sprint launched its own WP7 offering, HTC Arrive. It's kind of a bummer that it's taken Big Red this long to push out its own WP7 device, but the good news is that it's finally almost here after months of teases and leaks. Anyone planning on grabbing a Trophy?
