HP has kept pretty quiet on the TouchPad's launch and pricing information ever since the device's introduction in February but, as is usually the case with unreleased products, the details have slowly been coming together thanks to an assortment of leaks. Earlier this month, we heard that the webOS slate could be arriving as soon as next month, and today the folks from PreCentral have gotten their hands on some TouchPad pricing info. As you can see above, Walmart plans to sell the 32GB, WiFi-only version of the TouchPad for $599.00, which is right in line with Apple's iPad 2 pricing. There is also pricing info for a few of the TouchPad's accessories contained in this leak. A TouchPad-specific Touchstone dock/stand will set you back $79.88 at Wally World, while a webOS keyboard will cost $69.88 and a first-party TouchPad case will be priced at $49.88.
This isn't the first time that the TouchPad's pricing has leaked out, it's still nice to get even more evidence of how much we're going to have to shell out for a webOS slate next month. The TouchPad's pricing seems like a good fit since it's in line with competing devices like the iPad 2 and Galaxy Tab 10.1, although it might be nice if HP was able to price the TouchPad a little lower. That way, they could help differentiate the TouchPad a bit from its competitors and give regular folks a reason to pick it up over those other devices. What do you all think of the TouchPad's price?
