The Samsung DROID Charge has certainly had a strange life so far. It was supposed to launch at the end of April but was ultimately delayed, and now it's the middle of May and we still haven't heard a peep from Verizon or Samsung about when the Charge will finally be made available. If reports from Droid-Life and Engadget are legit, though, you could be riding Verizon's LTE airwaves with a DROID Charge before the weekend is up. Both sites have gotten word that Sammy's handset will be going on sale tomorrow, May 14th.
Verizon normally waits until Thursday to put out its new handsets, but considering that the Charge was originally supposed to come out a little over two weeks ago, I'm sure Big Red would just like to get it out to customers as soon as it can. The question is, are any of you going to fork over $299.99 for the privilege of owning one? If you need help deciding, you can check out Aaron's two-part review of the DROID Charge right here and here.
UPDATE: And just like that, Verizon has confirmed that the DROID Charge will indeed be going on sale tomorrow. Additionally, the Charge will include Mobile Hotspot functionality for free, although Verizon would only say that that offer will be available "for a limited time."
