Been thinking about jumping ship from your carrier to a new one? You may want to consider checking out Sprint, which is currently offering potential customers a credit up to $175 to entice them to become part of the Now Network. According to Sprint spokesperson Lloyd Karnes, who spoke to CNN, business customers switching to Sprint can earn a $175 credit for selecting any phone in the carrier's lineup, while regular folk like you and me can get a $125 credit for buying a smartphone, while those of us that opt for a feature phone will earn a $75 credit.
Of course, there are a few requirements that need to be met in order for the credit to actually be earned. In order to be paid, an account must be ported from an existing contract, new customers must sign a two-year contract with Sprint, and the new account needs to be active for at least 61 days. The promotion kicked off May 4th and lasts until June 23rd for consumers and July 23rd for business customers. One more thing worth mentioning: Karnes confirmed that the offer is good for customers on any other carrier, not just T-Mobile like a leaked document from Spantechular shows.
This isn't the first time that Sprint has offered a credit to lure consumers to defect, although this particular promo is timed pretty well with AT&T's potential acquisition of T-Mobile. Whatever the reason for the offer, it's not a bad way to get folks to change carriers, and it's even better for folks that were planning to switch to Sprint anyway. So, anyone planning to join up with Sprint and earn a nice credit in the process?
