T-Mobile customers, take note: your beloved carrier will soon be making a few policy changes that you may want to be aware of. First up, any Magenta subscriber that uses WiFi calling will be happy to know that on May 11th, T-Mo will no longer deduct minutes from your monthly pool when making calls over WiFi. Yup, that means that customers on Even More, Even More Plus, and 4G Do More plans will have unlimited WiFi calling beginning this Wednesday.
Eleven days later, T-Mo will be making a couple of more voice-related changes. First up, Caller Name will be rebranded as Name ID and will give customers the name, number, city, and state of any callers that are unblocked and not already in their contacts list. The other addition appearing on the 22nd will be an upgrade to Visual Voicemail called Voicemail to Text, which is pretty much what it sounds like. Customers will be able to have their voicemails sent to them as a text message, and users of select devices will even be able to access their transcribed voicemails directly in the Visual Voicemail app.
As I'm sure anyone that uses T-Mobile's WiFi calling with any kind of regularity will attest, the thought of getting unlimited minutes for use over WiFi is a pretty big deal. The other two changes coming later in the month may not be quite as big, but the Voicemail to Text feature sounds like a pretty nice addition, especially for those users that will get their transcribed messages directly in the Visual Voicemail app. So, who's excited?
