What's that mysterious looking Sprint Android device up above, you ask? Why that's the Samsung SPH-D600! That's the word from the folks at Pocketnow, anyway, who posted the image earlier today and even managed to include a few specs for the unannounced device. According to the site, the SPH-D600 is packin' a 480x320 display, 1GHz MSM8655 processor, WiMAX connectivity, a camera that may only be of the 3.1-megapixel variety, a front-facing camera, a row of physical Android navigation buttons, and a sliding QWERTY keyboard. Unfortunately, there's no word on exactly when, or even if, this handset will ever make it to Sprint's shelves.
It's worth noting that the Samsung Epic 4G's model number is SPH-D700, so it's possible that we're looking at a lower-end version of that device. The whole idea of a handset with a 480x320 display may make some shy away, but the fact that the D600 is packing a 1GHz core and 4G capabilities could make it enticing for those of us that don't absolutely, positively need super high-end displays. As always, we'll keep you updated on the SPH-D600 as more details come to light.
