Today was supposed to be a big day for Android lovers on Verizon, with the Samsung DROID Charge, HTC DROID Incredible 2, and the Casio G'zOne Commando all hitting Big Red's shelves. Now it's looking likely that the DROID Charge will be missing in action, as an internal Verizon email sent over to Engadget claims that "unexpected delays" have caused the device's launch to be pushed back. There's no word on exactly when the Charge will launch, but it's not terribly surprising that it's been delayed considering all of the LTE-related issues that Verizon's been having.
Speaking of Verizon LTE, there are scattered reports that Big Red is slowly restoring 4G coverage across the country. Verizon itself hasn't mentioned any markets that are live, but we've heard that folks in San Francisco, Calif., Phoenix, Ariz., and Allentown, Pa. are all riding the LTE airwaves once again. We'll let you know when we hear more both on the Charge's new launch date and Verizon's LTE network restoration, and for those of you in a VZW 4G market, be sure to let us know when you begin seeing LTE coverage!
