Interested in signing up for Verizon's Unleashed prepaid service that we first learned about earlier this month? You may want to mosey on over this page on Verizon's website, where they've finally made the Unleashed plans and pricing official. The plan prices match up with what we saw in the previous leak, meaning that $50 will get you unlimited talk, text, and mobile web for one month. If you'd prefer to pay for your cellular access on a day-to-day basis, you've got two different options: 99 cents will net you unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling, anytime minutes or texts for 10 cents apiece, and mobile web for 99 cents per day, while forking over $1.99 per day will give you unlimited talk and a text rate of 2 cents each, as well as the same 99 cent per day mobile web rate. Finally, for those of us that prefer the per-minute and per-text route, you can expect to 25 cents for each of the former and 20 cents for each of the latter that you use.
As for the Unleashed phone selection, you can choose from one of the three handsets detailed in last weekend's leak, but the pricing is a tad different than the source of said leak reported. Beginning at the low-end, you can nab an LG Accolade for $39.99, a portrait QWERTY-packing Pantech Caper for $79.99, or, at the high-end of things, you can buy the LG Cosmos for $99.99. Each device comes with $10 worth of free airtime.
Although Unleashed may not appeal to everyone, its $50 unlimited plan seems like a pretty awesome deal for those of us that don't want to sign away two years of our mobile lives for a subsidized handset. It's also good to see a decent variety of devices available for use with Unleashed, although a little more variety certainly wouldn't hurt. So, are any of you planning on hopping onto the Unleashed train or recommending it to someone you know?
