Remember the Acer ICONIA SMART, the 4.8-inch mini-tablet/giganto-phone that was made official last February? We haven't heard much about the device since then, but it was recently spotted hanging out in the FCC and getting its certification on. Although no carriers for the ICONIA SMART have been announced just yet, the fact that it's packing compatibility with the 850, 1900, and 2100MHz bands suggests that it may one day land on AT&T.
In case you need a refresher on exactly what makes the ICONIA SMART tick, it features a 4.8-inch 1024X480 display with a 21:9 aspect ratio, 1GHz Qualcomm processor, 8-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video capture, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, 512MB RAM and R)M, 8GB built-in storage, and Android 2.3, better known as Gingerbread, running beneath a custom skin. Acer hasn't named any official launch date for the SMART just yet, but we've heard that it could make its grand debut sometime in June or July.
