Verizon will be launching the HTC Trophy sometime in the near future (hopefully), but for those of you that prefer a physical QWERTY, Big Red may have something up its sleeve for you, too. The folks at Pocketnow have put together a few random tidbits of info and, if their math is correct, they may have revealed that the HTC 7 Pro, aka HTC Arrive on Sprint, may be making its way to Verizon. First up, we have the device ID MWP6885, which was recently spotted in a list of Windows Phone 7 devices accessing a particular developer's game. That ID is very similar to the HTC Trophy's, MWP6985, likely indicates that both devices are destined for the same carrier.
After digging into the MWP6885's user agent profile, a file named "PC93-1.0.xml" was discovered. Thanks to the FCC, we know that PC93100 just so happens to be HTC's 7 Pro, meaning that if MWP6885 is the same as PC93, and PC93 is the same as the 7 Pro, then according to the transitive property, MWP6885 is the 7 Pro. My middle school math teacher would be so proud.
Considering that Verizon will likely offer more WP7 devices than just the Trophy and that HTC already has one CDMA-ready version of the 7 Pro, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see Big Red release its own version of the 7 Pro (which may just be called the "HTC Pro"), but it would certainly be a welcome one. Unfortunately, all of this digging hasn't unearthed a release date of any kind, but when one does come up, you can be sure that we'll let you know.
