Early last month, we caught wind of an HTC device named Doubleshot that would allegedly hit T-Mobile with Android 2.3 in tow. Other details on the device were practically non-existent at the time, but the folks at Pocketnow claim to have uncovered more information on it from a user agent profile and benchmark tool. According to all of the intel gathered, the Doubleshot may be a device with a 1.2GHz core, 800x480 screen resolution, physical QWERTY keyboard, 6-megapixel (or higher) camera, and Gingerbread preinstalled. There's still no word on exactly when we can expect the Doubleshot to arrive, but if you want to check out an HDR-ified photo that was snapped with the Doubleshot's camera and uploaded to Picasa, you can do so right here.
Obviously we're still missing a few key details on the Doubleshot, like its screen size and whether or not it's packing a front-facing camera, but the device is shaping up to be pretty compelling so far, especially for those of us that like the idea of the HTC Sensation 4G but absolutely must have a hardware keyboard. I'm sure we'll be hearing more about the Doubleshot sooner rather than later, so stay tuned.
