The HTC DROID Incredible 2 launch date appears set for April 28th, and now it seems that the Samsung DROID Charge may be joining the DInc 2 on that date. According to a leaked roadmap sent over to Droid-Life, the Charge will make its grand debut on the 28th, which just so happens to be the same date that the Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY has been rumored to be arriving, too. Unfortunately, there has been speculation that that device may have been bumped back due to the recent earthquakes in Japan. Oh, and the DROID Bionic? It was apparently set to launch on May 12th, but as you likely know by now, it's allegedly been cancelled in favor of the Targa. Unfortunately, Droid-Life says that the Targa is "at least" two months away from launching.
April 28th is certainly shaping up to be a huge day for Android fans and Verizon customers in the market for a new smartphone, even if the Xperia PLAY ends up getting pushed back. Both the Incredible 2 and Charge look like great handsets, although the latter's rumored near $300 price tag could make it a tough sell to anyone that doesn't absolutely, positively need to have it. If the 28th does end up being the launch date for these upcoming DROIDs, we should be hearing more soon, so stay tuned.
