The HTC ThunderBolt and iPhone 4 are two of the hottest smartphones on the market, and they both happen to be on our list of the top smartphones available on Verizon. But which one is more popular with consumers? That's the question that BTIG analyst Walter Piecyk set out to answer when he called 150 different Verizon stores in 22 major cities across the U.S. After asking each store which handset was selling better, the team came up with the following figures:
While Piecyk's research isn't terribly rigorous, not taking into account sales from other retailers, the numbers are still kind of interesting to look over. Although Verizon's LTE network is still pretty young, consumers seem to be flocking to the ThunderBolt and its 4.3-inch display. The iPhone 4 seems to be doing well, too, especially considering that Apple's handset is almost a year old at this point. Now that we've heard the results from Piecyk's study, though, it's time to voice your opinion. Between the LTE-capable ThunderBolt and the iPhone 4 and its high-res display, which device do you prefer?
