If you're a current Verizon customer in the market for a new HTC ThunderBolt, you may want to check your inbox. According to a document sent over to Droid-Life, Verizon is offering the TBolt to some customers for only $149.99 with a two-year contract, a full $100 off the normal asking price. It's not yet clear how Verizon is selecting the subscribers that get the discount (it's possible that it's going to folks due for an upgrade), but the good news is that it doesn't look like the offer is regional.
While there are certainly a number of folks out there that are more than happy to slap down $250 for a ThunderBolt on-contract, getting one for only $150 is a pretty awesome deal. For anyone that hasn't gotten the email discount, it's worth noting that some users have been able to get the reduced price after calling a certain sales number (800-437-6132), so that's worth a shot if you want a $150 TBolt of your own. If anyone does manage to get access to the discount, be sure to let us know!
UPDATE: It appears that this may be more of a regional offer, after all. Droid-Life claims that it may only be good if you live in or around Chicago, so if you are in that area and have had your eye on a TBolt, you may want to give VZW a call.
