Earlier this month, Apple promised that iOS 4.3 would be arriving alongside its new iPad on Friday, March 11th, but I guess they just couldn't wait any longer. The Cupertino-based company just made iOS 4.3 available to all, a full two days earlier than expected. The update includes enhancements to Safari and AirPlay, iTunes Home Sharing, Personal Hotspot for GSM iPhones, and the ability to use the iPad's side switch as either a mute or orientation lock.
It's kind of strange that Apple decided to push out iOS 4.3 a couple of days early, but I'm sure all of the iDevice users will be happy to have access to all of its new features. If you've got an iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, 3rd or 4th gen iPod Touch, or iPad, you can hook your device up to iTunes and hit "Check for Updates" to get the ball rolling. Just be sure to come back and let us know how everything's running once you get it installed, k?
