Last week Apple held its iPad 2 event in San Francisco and, while the new iPad and iOS 4.3 each got some time to shine, there was no mention of iOS 5 like many had expected. Now new rumors are emerging, trying to pinpoint when the iOS 5 debut will take place. According to German blog Macerkopf.de, Apple will be holding an iOS 5 event in the 14th or 15th week of the year, which would be one of the first two weeks in April. Along with the newest iteration of its mobile operating system, the site claims that Apple will introduce an overhauled version of MobileMe.
As pointed out by MacRumors, Apple has previously held its iOS events in early April, with the iOS 4 preview taking place on April 8th last year. When you consider that, it seems to make sense that we'll get a sneak peek at iOS 5 around the same time this year. There isn't really much know about what new features iOS 5 will sport, but I'm hoping for a revamped notification system. What about you?
