As we grind through the early days of March, CTIA and all of the new mobile products that'll be unveiled there are inching closer and closer. We already know that Sprint may have some compelling devices to show off at the event, and now it appears that LG may have something interesting up its sleeve, too. Under the phone category on the CTIA's "E-Tech Awards Finalists" page, there are two devices described as "LG Mobile Phones" alongside the ThunderBolt, Atrix 4G, and Revolution. Besides the fact that the two handsets are manufactured by LG, there's little indication as to exactly what they are.
The folks at PCMag seem to think that the Optimus 2X, which will be known as the G2x when it hits T-Mobile, could be one of the five nominated devices, but what about the other handset? The Optimus 3D is certainly a possibility. It's also possible that LG will have one or two completely new phones to show off, but I'm leaning more towards the 2X and 3D right now. Whatever LG has in store for CTIA, you can be sure that we'll be covering it, so be sure to stay tuned for all of our coverage!
