HTC didn't reveal much about its Flyer tablet during MWC, save for the fact that it'll be launching sometime during Q2 2011. Today a little more info on the tablet may have come to light, though, as Commerical Times is reporting that the Flyer could cost "around US$600" when it's released. Interestingly, we're also hearing that HTC has only placed orders for around one million Flyers to be manufactured between now and August.
One million Flyers is a pretty modest number, especially since the device is HTC's first tablet. Still considering that it's got a smaller display and older OS compared to devices like the XOOM and Galaxy Tab 10.1, the Flyer may not end up selling like hotcakes anyway, and a $600 price tag probably wouldn't help the situation. We'll keep you updated as more info becomes available, but in the mean time, you can check out our own Aaron Baker handle the Flyer right here.
