There's been quite a bit of speculation on the BlackBerry PlayBook's launch date ever since its September announcement, but today we finally may have a concrete date to look forward to. According to "multiple sources" speaking to BGR, RIM's tablet will be released on April 10th. Additionally, users that pick up a PlayBook on that date will have a software update waiting for them as soon as it boots up because the OS is going gold master on March 31st.
It's been a long time coming, but it's nice to know that we're finally, finally getting close to seeing the PlayBook hit the market, especially since RIM's been teasing us with various 4G-capable models for the past couple of months. Now we just need some solid pricing info which, if this April 10th date is legit, should be coming shortly. Stay tuned!
