Apple's big iPad event is only a couple of days away, and today we've got an entirely new spec that may make it into the next iOS tablet: a white color scheme. As you can see up above, the folks over at 9 to 5 Mac snagged a photo of what they claim to be the bezel, aka digitizer, of the iPad 2. The front of the bezel is as frosty white as the snow that's been covering a lot of the country all winter long, and the placement of the camera hole seems to fit those alleged iPad 2 screen protectors that we saw recently.
More iPad 2 news emerged this morning in the form of a render of the back of the upcoming device sent to BGR. After examining the image file, however, it's looking likely that the image is not an official render.
It'd be kind of surprising if Apple ended up releasing a white iPad 2, especially considering all of the issues that have delayed the mythical white iPhone 4, but I'm sure that consumers wouldn't mind having a color choice. As for the render, it does seem to fit the description of what we all expect the incoming iPad to look like, even if it is simply a fan-made render. The iPad 2 rumors will finally come to an end on Wednesday, and will also pave the way for iPad 3 rumors to kick into high gear, and we'll be bringing you all of the coverage you need from Apple's event. Stay tuned!
