The Samsung Epic 4G finally got its Android 2.2 update earlier this week, but now it seems that anyone that didn't already get upgraded are going to have to wait even longer for their taste of Epic Froyo. Sprint has announced on their community forums that the EB13 is being put on hold for now. It seems that, after installing EB13, many users were having problems with data connectivity and with accessing content on a microSD card. There's currently no ETA for the new version, but anyone that's having problems after installing the upgrade are being advised to perform a hard reset.
Considering how long we've been waiting for the Galaxy S Froyo updates, I'm sure that there are more than a few Epic 4G owners that are disappointed that the wait for 2.2 just started all over again. Again, there's no word on when the new, improved upgrade will arrive, but I'm sure Sprint and Samsung want it out as quickly as possible, so stay tuned for that. How many of you Epic users are still waiting for the update to arrive? For those of you that did get EB13, are you seeing any issues with your handset after installation?
