When HP unveiled the TouchPad earlier this month, the best launch date that they could give was some time this summer. Since then, people have been speculating like crazy, trying to pin down a more precise launch date for the first webOS tablet. Digitimes has thrown their hat into the ring, claiming that HP will begin delivering TouchPads at the end of next month with actual sales to kick off in April. The site's sources believe that HP is aiming to ship around 4-5 million TouchPads in 2011.
Although HP did say that the TouchPad wouldn't be coming until summer, I'm sure they wouldn't mind surprising us all with a launch in April. Besides catching everyone off-guard, they'd also be in a better position to compete with the Android/iOS/BlackBerry tablets of the world. My only hope? If this rumor is true, the Pre 3's release will be moved up, too.
