The saga of the Motorola XOOM has been long and filled with rumors, but today we can finally take another step toward the tablet's official launch. Moto's Honeycomb-powered tablet is up for pre-order over at Best Buy's website and, unlike the first time it was thrown onto BBY's site, it's got a price point of $799.99 as well as a confirmed February 24th launch date. There's no mention of a $599 subsidized offering, although potential XOOM-ers can pick up a few accessories for their shiny new tablet, including a $40 case, $50 dock, $130 HD speaker dock, and $70 Bluetooth keyboard.
We've been salivating over the XOOM ever since it was officially unveiled at CES, and Aaron's hands-on time with the tablet certainly didn't help things. The question is, now that the XOOM is finally about to hit, do you pull the $799 trigger now and secure a tablet to call your own on launch day or wait for Verizon's launch and pricing info to see if a $599 on-contract XOOM materializes?
