HP's TouchPad was unveiled just two days ago, and already it seems to be a polarizing device. One thing that may sway buying decisions even more is the pricing and launch information, and today the folks at BGR claim to have all of those details. According to their source, HP will be launching the webOS-powered TouchPad in June for $699, although it's pointed out that that info may have changed since the tipster learned it.
When you consider that Motorola's XOOM will likely be launching at a price tag of $799.99, as well as the TouchPad's specs (1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 1GB RAM, etc.), $699 doesn't seem like a terrible price for a webOS tablet. The thing to consider, though, is that HP said that the WiFi-only TouchPad would be the one launching in the summer, and $699 might be a little too pricey for a 3G-less tablet for some people. What do you all make of this leaked info? Is $699 for the TouchPad too much or just right?
