For anyone not interested in seeing what HP has up their sleeve regarding webOS, today is just another Wednesday. But, for those who are eagerly anticipating what the company has to announce, then today is certainly not just any other day. And analysts believe that, in accordance with leaks we've seen over the last few weeks, HP is getting ready to unveil a tablet device at the company's event today. While nothing is official at this point, a tablet device has been something HP executives have been proud to talk about, and none have denied that one is coming down the pipe eventually. It's expected that today will mark the official unveiling of one of those devices.
The HP/Palm Topaz tablet, which is believed to be just a codename for the device at this point, is the likely subject of today's event. Or, perhaps, just one of the subjects. It's certainly possible that HP will aim high with this announcement, and actually unveil not just one tablet, but at least a couple of different devices. Some analysts believe that this is the moment where HP will show off the fruits of their purchase of Palm last year for $1.2 billion, and it could certainly be a huge moment for the company. If they manage to blow the socks off those watching, then the company could have a great year. But if they show something that many believe to already be "out-dated" even before launch, well, the end result is probably something that HP doesn't even want to think about. Have you asked yourself whether or not you'd pick up a webOS-based tablet yet?
