Samsung has promised that it'll be bringing "the next evolution" to MWC and, after a statement from JK Shin, president of Samsung's mobile division, we had an inkling that that meant we'd be seeing the Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy S 2 debut. Now our suspicions have been confirmed, all thanks to a schedule of Samsung's "Evolution is Fate" event that has leaked out. As you can see up above, there's the Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Tab 2, set to be revealed on February 13th. There's not much else to learn from the invite, although some believe that, because of the shape of the device in these promotional slides, the new Tab 2 will be a 10-inch device rather than a 7-incher.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Samsung push out a 10-inch tablet at some point, but I'm not so sure that the successor to the Galaxy Tab be that device. People seemed to like the 7-inch size of the original device, and I think that they'll end up sticking with that form factor for the Tab 2 and just up the specs a bit. On the other hand, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the Galaxy S 2 sport a larger display than its predecessor. The rumored 4.3-inch screen sounds about right, and so does a dual-core Orion processor, 8 megapixel camera, and 1GB of RAM. After all, the Galaxy S line is just about as high-end as Samsung gets. So now that we're only a few weeks away from seeing the Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy S 2, are any of you excited for Sammy's new products? Or are you still a little upset about the glaring lack of Froyo on the current Galaxy S lineup?
