Just when you thought the BlackBerry leaks were over, another one has shown up online. This time, we're getting a peek at the Storm 3, which sports an optical trackpad just like we saw in previous leaks. The Storm 3's biggest selling point, though, has to be its display, which sports the highest resolution ever found on a device from RIM, at 800x480. Interestingly, it sounds like RIM may be planning to change the Storm's branding when it arrives. Current codenames for the handset include Monaco and Monza. The Storm 3 is rumored to be arriving some time around September, with two or three different versions being released around the world. Below we've got a full spec sheet presented in an easy-to-read, bulleted list:
The Storm devices have never really been runaway successes for RIM, but the Storm 3 definitely looks like it could be a winner. With a speedy processor, BlackBerry 6.1, and a decently-sized, high-res display, the Storm 3 sounds like it'll be able to hold its own against other high-end devices on the market. The optical trackpad is kind of a strange inclusion since the Storm will be a full-touch device, but I'm sure there'll be some users that are happy with it. Do you think the Storm 3 will be a hit, or is the device still lacking?
