When we reported about the Samsung Intercept getting updated to Froyo last month, many of you wondered when Virgin Mobile's version of the handset would get the same treatment. Today we finally have an answer for you, straight from the horse's mouth. According to a tweet sent out by Virgin Mobile's Twitter account, the Intercept will begin receiving the update to Android 2.2 "sometime this spring."
Sprint experienced a few bumps when rolling out Froyo to its own Intercept, but hey, maybe Virgin Mobile customers will be able to avoid those issues since they're receiving the update later on. Unfortunately, Virgin Mobile didn't feel like being specific as to exactly when Android 2.2 will arrive, but we'll be sure to keep you updated when we learn more!
