Verizon cutting trial period to 14 days beginning Jan. 16th?

We've heard before that Verizon is planning to change its upgrade policy on January 16th, but it looks like that won't be the only policy change taking place that day.  The folks over at Android Central are reporting that, beginning on January 16th, Verizon will be cutting its return period from 30 days down to 14.  There's no word on why the change is coming, but we'll update you if and when Verizon has something official to say on the matter.

It's definitely disappointing to see Verizon making several major changes to their policies, especially with so many exciting devices in the pipeline.  While two weeks is still a pretty reasonable amount of time for a customer to get a good idea of whether or not a new phone and Big Red's network works for them, it doesn't hurt to have a little extra time if you're on the fence.  Which Verizon policy change do you think is a bigger deal?  The longer wait for an upgrade or the shorter trial period?
