When T-Mobile and LG announced the Honeycomb-powered G-Slate at CES, they didn't divulge much about the device except that it exists and is a tablet. Heck, they wouldn't even show us what it looked like, save for a quick peek at the press conference. There's still very little information available about the G-Slate, but some new evidence shows that it could be launching sooner than anyone thought. A new LG filing was just spotted in the FCC and, judging by the size of the label compared to the device itself, it seems likely that we're looking at a tablet. The tablet-like form factor isn't the only thing that makes us believe that this is the G-Slate, though, as the device got the a-ok from the FCC to work on T-Mobile's AWS 3G band.
I was kind of surprised when neither T-Mobile nor LG has given us any information on the G-Slate, especially considering that Verizon shared just about everything there is to know about the XOOM. Still, now that it's passed the FCC and could be launching soon, hopefully T-Mo will open up and give us the 4-1-1 on its Android 3.0 tablet. How about it, Magenta?
