Motorola has taken the lid off of it's XOOM tablet a little ahead of its CES press conference, and a new device has been revealed on their site, too. The Motorola DROID Bionic is a device intended for use on Verizon's LTE network and features a 4.3-inch qHD display (likely with a 960x540 resolution), 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 8 megapixel camera with HD video capture, VGA front-facing camera, and 512MB of RAM. Expect the Bionic to arrive in the early second quarter.
Moto also unveiled the XOOM tablet that has leaked several times in the past. The XOOM will feature a 10.1-inch 1280x800 display, 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 5 megapixel camera capable of shooting 720p video, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. A 3G version of the XOOM will be arriving in Q1 2011, while an update to include 4G connectivity will be available in Q2.
Finally, the long-awaited sequel to the CLIQ was made official. The CLIQ 2 features a 3.7-inch 854x480 display, 1GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, Android 2.2, HSPA+ connectivity, physical QWERTY keyboard, and a T-Mobile launch date of January 19th. Check out all of the press releases down below.
We'd heard in the past that the Olympus would be coming to Verizon's network with LTE connectivity, but the Bionic still caught us off guard. It's kind of disappointing that we'll have to wait until Q2 before we're able to get our hands on the Bionic, but at least we have the XOOM and CLIQ 2 to tide us over until then. So, who's excited?
