It wasn't long ago that Samsung was named the top Android provider in the U.S. after shipping 3 million Galaxy S devices stateside, and now the company is letting everyone know that they're doing pretty well in the rest of the world, too. In a recent statement, Samsung announced that they've managed to ship 9.3 million Galaxy S phones worldwide, including 2 million in its home country of South Korea since its debut there in June. By comparison, the iPhone has sold 1.8 million units in South Korea since November of last year.
Ten million sales is definitely nothing to sneeze at, and it goes to show the quality of Samsung's Galaxy S line. The devices are pretty popular here in the U.S., even if the owners are getting more and more impatient that each day goes by without an Android update (Epic owners won't be waiting much longer). If you're a Galaxy S owner, are you happy with your purchase?
