The HTC Merge has been quite a mystery, teasing us several times over the past month while managing to avoid Verizon's store shelves. Today we've got another video of the Merge for you to feast your eyes on, but this one is a little different than the previous clips. It's not anything about the phone that's unique, though; it's where the video was shot. According to the source, the Merge was on hand at a recent demo of Verizon's LTE network. Intriguing, no?
We've heard in the past that the reason behind the Merge's still unofficial status is that it was being delayed to include an LTE radio, so this news definitely adds credence to that rumor. Then again, we haven't actually seen any evidence of an LTE-capable Merge come to light, which, added with the fact that there are several users that have been testing the device for some time now, makes a 4G Merge seem unlikely. What say you, readers? Do you think the Merge will come to market as an LTE device? Would you buy one if it did?
