We know that HP/Palm is hard at work on a webOS tablet right now, but there isn't a ton of solid information about the device out there. So far, HP VP Todd Bradley has been the biggest source of webOS tablet info, dropping the PalmPad name once in the past and saying that it is coming some time in early 2011 (we've heard Q1). Keith Bachman, analyst at BMO Capital Markets, bucked that trend when he put his own two cents in on the webOS tablet saga. According to Bachman's sources, Palm's tablet is going to make its grand debut in March of next year.
The tablet market is growing quickly, with many more competitors coming early next year, so I certainly hope that HP/Palm can get their own device out in March. There's a wave of attractive Android tablets coming, the BlackBerry PlayBook is coming sometime in early 2011, and there's likely an iPad 2 on the horizon, as well, and I'd hate to see webOS get left behind by customers who didn't feel like waiting for Palm's tablet. How many of you would pass up tablets from other companies to wait for the PalmPad?
