In his review of the LG Quantum, Aaron mentioned that one thing that frustrated...wait, no...irritated him was the placement of the shift and function keys on the physical keyboard.  One thing that he could do about that is switch to the keyboard-less version of the Quantum, the LG Optimus 7.  The only problem is that the Optimus 7 is a Europe-only device, right?  Not anymore!  The device formerly known as the E900 just passed through the FCC with full compatibility with AT&T's 850 and 1900 MHz 3G bands, leading many to believe that it'll soon be showing up on Ma Bell's shelves.  Specs for the Optimus 7 include a 3.8-inch WVGA display, 1GHz processor, 16GB of internal storage, a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video capture, and a 1500 mAh battery.

There's certainly no shortage of full-touch Windows Phone 7 handsets on the market, but it never hurts to have more choices, especially with a younger platform like WP7.  Don't start lining up at your local AT&T store just yet, though, because we still don't know when, or if, the Optimus 7 will finally arrive stateside.  The launch Windows Phone 7 phones have been available to customers for around a month now, so you would expect some new devices to hit the market some time soon.  Will we see the Optimus 7?  Perhaps some other different device, possibly on a different carrer (hello there, Verizon HTC Trophy)?  If it's up to me, I'll take all of the above.
